Build my ultimate YJ.

I have been working on a ford mustang that i got really cheap and have been slowly aquiring parts for . I recently got my jeep and i am completely hooked! I love everything about having the jeep , so i have been thinking about selling the mustang and really beefing up the jeep . It currently has about 7 inches of lift with 35 boggers , 4cyl 5 spd with 4:88's in stock axles. If i got rid of the mustang i would probably have about 2 g's to sink into the jeep . Any ideas? I was thinking about stretching it , comp cut , tube front fenders , new axles , lockers , at least 37's and going spring over to eliminate my body lift. Could you guys toss in so ideas and maybe a few pics to convince me i should get rid of the car so make a sick truck.

Sounds like you got a plan allready!

What kind of axles you looking to get?

What do you plan on doing with your jeep?

Welcome aboard.

I'd go with putting in an engine that makes driving it more realistic

I really have no problem with the 4cyl , i only drive it around town and on the park way occasionally. I don't mind the gas mileage either. Everyone knocks the 4cyl , the only problem i see with it is the crappy tranny behind it. I have never not made an obstacle because i didnt have enough power and i have been through some serious stuff. I was thinking about 44's front and rear , or chromo front shafts and an 8.8 rear and putting arb's in either with maybe 5:13's or something to help with the tires.

I just blew 3g. All I got were 30yr old axles and a set of 42" tires. 2g will not go far in this hobby. Good luck with the build.

Anyone have a picture of a jeep comp cut without being stretched? I love the look of a jeep with tube fronts and a comp back.

Why not just wheel it as is?

Believe me the mods will come.

If you're running 35's on a turdy five rear axle it sound like you have the answer.

Rear axle, locker and gears.
