Maybe a Dodge Neon power distribution pack.

I'm working on a serpentine belt swap in my yj. Found a 4cyl Comanche (late 80s) and noticed the power steering bracket appeared to match the available mounts on my 4.2. It was a non- AC truck which is what I needed. I ended up grabbing the power steering pump and bracket, alternator bracket, and water pump pulley.

Once I'm done it won't be much of a budget swap since I'll be installing a new water pump, PS pump and alternator. I'm actually surprised I've never seen any mention of this swap since the parts match so well.

I figure I would post this since it's pretty cheap. I was at the junkyard looking for Cherokee or Grand Cherokee front driveshafts so I could change over my current flange style connection on my Tom Woods rear driveshaft to the yoke style. While I was out there I got a wild hair and started pulling speedometer gears out. I started finding that they were different colors then saw the tooth count stamped in them. I vaguely remember looking at a chart for my 33" tires and 4.10's and remembered it being around 36 so I started collecting them.

The dark green has 33 teeth, red has 35, and the orange has 36. The yellow is my stock 30 tooth count. When I came home I looked at the chart and found that I needed a 35 tooth to correct my speedometer so I simply unbolted the adapter/sensor pulled the old gear out and stuck the new one in. When I put the adapter/sensor back in I had to clock it so it would accept the new larger speedometer gear. It's a pretty simple and I know many of us have modified the tire size and gear ratios but the speedometer is usually not messed with especially when they are $30 buck or more (at least for me).

Here's mine, not quite done yet but close. It's a stock roof rack from a 98 XJ. I ended up having to make it a bit smaller for obvious reasons. On the rails (non movable pieces) I took off 8 1/2" on each end, to keep from having to drill any holes. If I took off 17 from one side, the holes wouldn't have been even. Now for the cross member pieces. I took off 7", this time only off one side. I put the piece on a table and traced out the curve. I then moved it along the trace mark 7" from center. The curve was the same all the way down. This way, it wouldn't look lopsided when mounted. Here are some pics, it's not bolted yet. Should have it done Friday. Oh and 20 bucks at pick and pull Edmonton for the roof rack (they call it a large luggage carrier). Oh and the XJ curve is almost a perfect fit to the YJ.

I would have gone a little bigger but I have just enough room for my coffee cup in the morning when I open my door. It's nice having a roof rack again.

Lol, when I come out in the mornings I put my coffee cup on the roof to unlock my door. You said you would go a bit wider, I was just giving an example of how much wider you could go.
