How is the progress? I'm taking my tranny and t-case over to a shop on Tuesday to have them do all the work installing the adapters, main shaft, SYE, etc. I also just got back my harness from Jim and it looks pretty sweet.

Hey Bob - Have you found a write-up on how the Toyota slave cylinder works with the SM465? I'm going to test fit the engine this weekend and will be bolting the tranny to the engine. Want to make sure I haven't missed anything with the clutch.

Nah, I haven't really seen anything. You would have better luck searching over on pirate for that sort of thing. Let me know what you find.

What bellhousing did you go with? Did you go with AA's bell and slave bracket?

I got an aluminum bell housing from the junk yard. Does the AA kit require custom holes in the bell housing in order for the bracket to work? I don't have the bracket either.

I posted a couple pictures on my build thread of the tranny and t-case:

I also have an aluminum bell, but the AA bracket I bought didn't fit. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about that yet.

What are you doing with the t-case shifter? How can I mount that on the SM465?

Boy, I've been lazy!

Front bumper and battery removed today. I was supposed to start earlier, but I was playing football and then it rained. :/

A little progress before the Giants game. Transmission skid plate down, driveshafts removed. Transfer case is ready to come down.

Transfer case is down. I've had to spend some time fixing my Ranger...bad ground.

No wonder it wouldn't start...

Tonight, I was on a segment of ESPN's show E:60. I can be seen several times throughout the video solving and judging, as well as solving a Rubik's Cube blindfolded.

For anybody interested in watching the segment, it has already been uploaded to YouTube:

Enjoy!

I'm the one solving a cube blindfolded at 1:09.

...and yep, you guessed it. This is where 'cubewhiz' comes from.

Hey Bob!

How is the build going? I'm just getting restarted. What did you end up doing for the clutch slave cylinder mount?

Wow, I have been neglecting this poor thing. I bought a 95 ZJ for an additional Daily Driver in the mean time (only $950!), bringing me up to:

89 Ford Ranger
95 Jeep Wrangler YJ
95 Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ
09 Kawasaki Ninja

Tonight, though, I replaced the input shaft on the NP231. So easy. I really want to get this freaking swap back underway, so I'm going to dedicate myself to this swap again. I've just been SO LAZY! :/

Removed all engine electrical except one wire at the alternator, drained oil & coolant, disconnected fuel lines, removed radiator & heater hoses, removed radiator, removed battery tray, removed coolant & wiper fluid bottles

The only things I need to take off the engine now are the power steering lines and one wire at the alternator. I still want to remove the grill & fenders--I started to, but didn't finish. Then I'll pull out the AX5, unbolt the motor mounts, and that sucker is out of there!
