Mm... delicious parts.

You'll be fine with the engine. Document the engine number, keep the receipts for everything. You'll need all the emissions components that the Denali had, which your 95 YJ already has. Evap canister with purge control, sealed fuel system, and the computer to control it all (including EGR if the 6.0 has one). You'll also likely need 2 cats.

by this you mean the GM computer, right? I'm not yet sure if I'm retaining the Jeep computer.

I'm almost done rebuilding the SM465. I got the wiring harness and computer off and ready to ship to Jim's Performance. The 2.5's last days are here. It should be out within a week or so.

So I'm using the same tranny in my setup. I'm still a bit confused about what all I'll need. The tranny was rebuilt a few years ago so I'm not itching to crack the case open. I bought the same kit you did from AA. What else do I need in terms of the clutch assembly and hydraulics to make it work?

Hrmm. Well, what T/C and T/c adapter are you using? If you're using the NP231 with Novak's adapter (which I'm pretty sure I remember you saying you are), you'll have to open the case anyway because it uses a new mainshaft. You should only need to take out the input and mainshafts. Take everything on your mainshaft and put it on the Novak mainshaft that came with your adapter and put them back in.

I'm using this:

- AA Clutch Kit (712500M)
- AA Slave cylinder (716213)
- AA Slave cylinder bracket (716286) - doesn't fit my bellhousing...gotta do something about that
- AA Pilot Bushing (716170)
- AA Hydraulic Hose & Fitting (716130H & 716130F)
- GM Clutch Release Arm (GM #3765372)

Transmission is almost put back together.

Just need the input shaft back in and I'm good to go.

Was the $241 clutch stuff?

I'm at $5460 for the swap so far. $10k isn't just for the swap I hope. I can't see myself spending another $5k. I have just about everything I expect I need.

Ya - $241 for the clutch stuff.

You're right the $10k includes a bunch of other stuff as well. It's a complete tub off restore so I'm buying stuff as I go. I bet I have another $5k to go before I'm done. I should have just bought a new JK :-)

But where's the fun in that?
