Bl/YL Wire

while washing my yj one of my wires burnt up. It is a Bl/YL wire that runs in a harness along the drivers side of the car, all the way to the back. It is grounded right to the left of where your knee would be if you were sitting in the car. Im not sure how this happened, a tiny bit of a pink wire (which goes to the dome light in the hardtop) was also burnt up. Can anyone tell me what this bl/yl wire is? It is an 89 yj. Thanks!

Desciption by wire color is hard, becuse it seems that the manu used different colors on a daily basis. The referred wire could be either the wiper motor or window heater if it does not go down the hole in the back of the drivers side to the lights. Could also be the wired going to the seat belt warning light.

it does go down into the hole to the lights, but all the lights still work fine, also it is still grounded even though it is disconnected from the ground, so it has to be grounded somewhere else. Maybe a body to frame ground wire? any thoughts?

Please fill out your profile. It may seem like a waste as its not abig deal on many forums but when you come here and ask a question about your jeep, the first thing most of us do is look at your profile to see what you have done to what ever jeep you own. Be specific as possible.

one of those threads, the middle one, someone posted that the Bk/Yl wire is for running lights, but with it disconnected I still have running lights.
