blower motor upgrade

i just did this upgrade, and WOW!! it blows and heats the car so much faster (almost hotter in my opinion) and quieter! i read it on the forums many times about how great the improvement of the air flow was with this upgrade, but you have to do it yourself to believe it. its even quieter (i woulda been happier with it just being quiet and just slightly warmer) but i replaced my heater blower motor, and the heater core since i had it all apart.
took me about 4 hours to cut pull the old parts, cut the hole wider, and install everything back into place.
just be sure you have the right tools to cut the firewall, thats what took most of my time cause i started with a saw and then broke the blade and ended up having to use a dremel and went through 3 grinding attachments.

if anyone has any questions i'd be happy to try to help with this mod.

i didn't have the correct tools for the job, so it took me longer to cut the hole wide enough. plus i had to go get things like the heater core and my parts store isn't right around the corner.

so i guess you could say i took my time....no i don't have AC...unless you consider taking the top off AC

Ahhh.

The reason I asked is I'm doing this this weekend and have AC (not used) but it's in the way and a PIA. Was just trying to guesstimate time required.

I just did the core and blower motor upgrade and have the AC unit under the dash. It was no problem. Just 4 screws and it drops down out of the way.
