For YJs equipped with ac there is a row of vents under the dash.

yup, which is what started this whole thing. all those threads about people wanting to push the heat out through those vents instead of the defroster.

i don't get it though, 1690 views and I've only heard from one other person who's tried to make their own.

well, cold weather seems to be here to stay in the NE (can finally pull the skidoo out!). so here's a back to top for all the new guys out there that haven't seen it yet. still selling them so let me know if you want one made up

One Thought Though, Did You Try Putting Wing Nuts On The Pivot So One It Will Not Rattle And Two You Could Set It Half Way To Let Some Heat Go To The Windshield.
I'm Getting Ready For The Blizzard That Is Comming. I Wish I Had One Now.

this blizzard is in full force... i went quadding all day and all i could think of is how i wished i could be driving my YJ instead

it was hella cold out.... But anyway, i MAY be interested in buying some... I have to ask my dad first

but what part of NY are you from how much would the shipping charge be?

I'll be contacting you in the fall for sure Sentenial!!! Too many other mods taking up all the jeep money right now (and it warmed up). I wish I saw these earlier in the winter!

which idea would that be? making a jig? a real manufacturing plant would probably just stamp them. punch the blanks and the holes for the arms in one shot, load a batch in the press and fold all 3 bends at the same time. 25-50 done in 15 minutes. the arms i ended up making out of 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/16" aluminum angle. i found it was easier than trying to make the arms out of sheet metal and the aluminum was easy to file into shape and drill. steel might have been cheaper but would be more work to round the corners off. mass producing them might be easier on a mill or just casting them out of plastic. really, casting the whole thing in plastic might be the best bet since you wouldn't need to paint it and you could cast multiple colors to match the different interior colors. too bad it's a season thing, but who needs heat in the summer

oh and i could also do the drawing. though it would be in visio. don't have Autocad anymore.

Maine, I'll be sure to have some ready for you come fall.
