Sentinal, I just wanted to add that I have had mine on for almost 2.5 years now with just double sided 3M tape. The heavy red stuff, and they have not peeled off at all.

I did go ahead and upgrade the hardware with nylock nuts so they do not come loose. I found that over time they started to rattle.

yeah, i started using the lock nuts a long time ago. it was worth it not to have to keep getting the little wrenches and the stubby screw driver out to keep tightening them. the double sided tape is good to know. i wonder if carpet tape might off a lower profile alternative to the 3M. would definitely be cheaper since a roll goes for like 6 buck and you get a WHOLE lot more.

Ah here is this thread! I have yet to access a bender and some metal, so if anyone is willing to bend up an extra set while they are making theirs I will pay!
