Bestop Halftop window surround question

Every since I installed my halftop, the doors won't close all the way (full doors). I've narrowed it down to the vertical retaining mount that the surround tubes fit into on the tub near the door striker. The way the instructions read, the hole for the tube is outboard, but if I do that, the door hits it & while it closes, it leaves a 1/2" gap. I'm thinking that if I swapped sides, it would alleviate this problem, but I thought I'd see if anyone had any input first.

Thanks!

Joe

I have not seen that perticular top, but you are talking about what is likely a standard Bestop door surround tub bracket. There should be fore/aft adjustment on that bracket, which I suspect uses two large bolts to hold it to the tub.

You are correct, but I have it as far aft (aft is back, right?) as it will go, and the door is still hitting it. I'll double-check that, I need to adjust the windshield angle, anyway. Installing the top bracket threw it off *just* enough to whistle very annoyingly.

Side view:

That little flap next to the tailgate won't stay inserted. You can also see how loose the collars around the roll bar is if you take the pads off:

The door is shut in this pic, I haven't done any adjustments yet:
