Best Auto Trans if doing swap?

Planning on doing a engine/tranny swap. The engine will be a 350. Whats the best automatic to drop in? I've heard the turbo 350 because its short. Anybody have other suggestions? Also thinking of getting rid of the NP231 in favor of a Dana 20.

I have helped do a similar swap on a YJ already.

The entire process took 2 guys 5 weeks of "after work" and weekends to swap in a Chev 350 with TH350 tranny and an NP203 T-case. We also took the axles from the donor vehicle and put them in SOA configuration. Once that was done, we had a pair of drive shafts made up (didn't align the engine perfect to re-use the front driveshaft), custom designed steering, used a Fargo radiator, mechanical fan on the engine to pull air from the lower portion of the rad, and an electrical fan (manually switched from inside the rig) to push air through the upper portion of the rad.

Since we did that conversion, the owner blew the 350 and is in the process of building a 305 (got for real cheap) and will swap out the NP203 T-case for an NP205.
