I would do the "true neutral" TJ style shift selector plate upgrade.

The transfer case is one of those things I am looking at as well. You really have to factor how much money it is going to cost to achieve what you want to accomplish. So, how much is it going to cost. The 231 is a good case, but if I think I am going to approach the 1000 dollar mark, or near it, I am going to go in a different direction other than the 231 most likely. For me it comes down to money, where is my limit on how much I am going to put into my T-case, before I just opt out and go with say a NV241OR. I had a line on a new tera low T-case kit for 500 dollars, it was new, they go for twice that new, and I had the money, but still did not buy it. Because I figure, I'd still need the sye, that's 300 plus dollars more for the one I want..over 800 bucks there. I've seen 241OR t-cases for 800 bucks, I'd rather have that. That's how I look at it personally, but really it does not mean it is the best alternative for you.
