ok... so...
after being completely stumped i asked another jeeper i know about an issue like yours... his reply... "change the whole dist" after asking why that would make a difference his reply... " i had exactly the same issue, when i grabbed the dist cap i could feel rubbing somewhere inside the block". it would seem that the bearing can wearout and cause an issue like this after warmup as the dist itself is getting tweaked from heat due to a wore out bearing or some jazz after heatup.

No code 33? That is an AC related code which comes up even if there is no AC.

Do you know what was good about the good old days? I wasn't good, And I wasn't old!

Nope...no 33 code. I've been in phone contact with another member on here and at this point we are both stumped...

I went ahead and changed the o2 sensor and the MAT sensor and still same issue. I also checked the fuel pressure and it is fine...

Mike, I've ready changed everything in the ignition system. Dist and all.

Chuck I really think the fact you are not seeing code 33 that there is something going on with the ecu. I am really hesitant to tell you to replace something I can't figure out how it failed our how to test. I have never seen a ECU not throw the 33 code sui right away it makes me suspicious. I wish there was a jeep guy close by to do a swap and try out their ecu.

TSEJEEPERS what is the difference on a 94/95 distributor? I had him disconnect the O2 sensor and run it and it still messed up after 15 minutes. The key is that it happens after warming up. When he pulls over and lets it sit then restars its good for a few minutes and then starts the same thing again.

I'll disconnect the battery tonight and recheck the codes again. If there is still no 33 code then I'll try and find one around here to borrow or just buy another one.

Try this guy. If it ends up not fixing it the price is cheap enough that you can get all your money back:

hey guys new on here but not to this problem I have a 92 2.5 wrangler with same problem and ive replaced all sensor,o2,distributor,wires,plugs,fuelpump and pickup, tank, fuel lines, fuel pressure regulator and all vacuum lines all new exaust including cat and mines doing the exact same thing. runs good for a few minutes then starts backfiring and loosing power. I have good idle and good full throttle but no in between pedal. if im in the mid range its backfiring. well after a lot of messing around I put a fuel pressure guage on it and when its backfiring its loosing fuel pressure. I can cut it off and back on and the pressures fine for a few minutes then it starts to **** up and loose pressure again I cant figure it out I ordered a computer for it today and it will be here in three days hopefully it will fix it
