BA10/AX15 ****ers

Does a shifter from a BA10 fit an AX15 ? I know the shift tower isn't the same
so I was thinking of using my shifter in a tower from an AX15.

No it won't. The end in the tranny is totally wrong and the way it attaches to the tower is wrong.

Oh thats too funny.... I can see how it could happen though.
But just to confirm....nope wont fit.
I am in need of an ax-15 myself too. I wiped reverse about 2 weeks ago.
Did you get 1 with the transfer case or did you swap the input shaft?

I swaped the input shaft. I picked one up from a local guy for 50$. I think he still has one if you need it.

I had to get the whole case. Mine was an NP207 and had a cracked case anyway.

1988 yj How hard was it to swap the shaft?
Cause I may not be able to afford right now to get a trans & T-case. Nor do I want to if its an easy swap out. I know my T-case is good...Get one from the boneyard and ya never know what you may find.

It's quite easy to change. The worse problem I had was taking off two snap rings cause I didn't have the right tool.
