Axle Trail Spares for a 1989

I wanted to start collecting axle shaft spares. Going by the Quadratec catalog, there are several model year changes for both the front and rear axles. Are they all interchangable or must you stick with the exact replacement???

Rear Axle Shafts: 87-89, 90-92, 93-06
Front Axle Shafts: 87-90, 91-95

The rear axle is a NON c-clip ('87-'90) and is not interchangeable with newer axles (c-clip). You'll want to find some spares from those years.

Also, when looking for shafts keep an eye out for a complete axle... I bought a D35 for $40, pulled the shafts, and told the seller to junk the rest.
