Axle Questions

Found a good deal on a dana 30 and 35 with 4.10 gears out of an 89. I'm looking to put them in my 87 because I have a bent axle shaft. I can pick both of these up for the price of what it will cost me to replace my bent axle shaft. So I would be solving the problem of the bent axle, as well as upgrading to the 4.10 gears. Just wondering if everything should bolt right in. U joints and everything else the same size? I realize the dana 35 is a weakpoint but don't have the money to go with an 8.8 or 44

Should be a direct swap. I think 95 was the only different year where they went to larger Ujoints on the front axle.

The 94-95 does have a larger U-joint but there is an adapter U-joint available that has one side of the cross smaller than the other side.
The joint is readily available at most auto parts stores.
