AX5 to AX15 swap

is this a direct replacement in an 1997 wrangler. 2.5 liter. looking to upgrade to ax15 transmission.

To install an AX15 to replace a AX5 you will need an adapter kit or a bunch of other parts... It is not a direct bolt up... and it's not cheep.

Sorry - not a direct swap.
Requires special adapters to make an AX-15 mate to a 4 cyl.
Also the tcase input shaft is 21 spline and the AX-15's shaft is 23 spline. You need the correct tcase witha 23 spline input or you'd have to get your hands on a 23 spline input gear and swap it into your tcase.
