Ax15 Rebuild

I have just pulled my tranny and the local shop want 600+ to just take it apart and diagnose the problem. I was wondering if any of you guys have rebuilt a AX15 and if you did do you have pics/ step by step breakdown. or any links would be appriciated. Thanks

Here ya go.
I bought the bearings and synchros.
Removed the cluster from the case.
Took the cluster and parts along with this manual to a guy I know that builds gear boxes.
He installed the bearings and synchroes for $100, I put it all back together.
The results were great and for ~ $250 I cant grumble.

Good Luck,

Might want to shoot Tuckinauster a PM, I believe he's torn into his tranny a few to many times!

This could come in handy. http://www.billhughes.com/temp/AX15.pdf
I had access to an auto hobby shop with hydraulic press and bearing separators. You'll need them to do this job. I got rebuild kit off ebay, approx $170 with seals, bearings and synchros. You'll need many ziplok bags and notes as well. It is a satisfying job to do.

Something bad happened to my photobucket account (..it was my fault...)and all my pictures went blank. I am committed to editing all my writeups and posts to put the photos back in. Let me know if you find a post that needs revision and I will do that one ASAP Currently I believe I have all the critical ones done.
