ax 5 transmission help?

I have a 93 yj with 2.5L and ax5 tranny. I have a an oil leak from where the transfer case and transmission meet. I was in the process of removing the skid plate to get to the transmission and the t case and transmission are also dropping. Luckily I had jack under there to catch the skid plate (which actually caught everything. I was under the impression that the skid should drop then I'd be able to put my tranny jack on the transmission. Does anyone know why this happened. Any ideas on how to get the tranny out would be appreciated. I was just going to use a floor jack on the motor and front of tranny do you think this will hold so I can get the skid (and tranny jack) out and then hook up the tranny jack to the transmission?

2X4 and jack under oil pan will hold all. Make sure you don't let it all hang low enough for the engine to hit the firewall.

Drop the skid plate

Drop the transfer case

Drop the tranny if required

Sent from underneath my Jeep
