AX-15 Will not stay in 1st gear!

I'm having an issue with the tranny. I can put it in 1st gear but as soon as I let out on the clutch it spits it out. Additionally, the synchros aren't working but I think that may just be a gear oil issue after reading some other threads. Could the 1st gear problem also be related?

So how does it do in other gears? Can you drive in all the other gears without it jumping from gear?

The issues I have seen with manual trans jumping outta gear are generally significant--broken bearing on input or output end of main shaft or counter gear, damaged splines on shaft allowing the gear to wobble on the shaft etc. It isn't likely to be as simple as an lube level, sorry.

I couldn't tell your mileage from your profile, or if you have any mods that could be an issue. My short answer is you likely need to rebuild your AX15 or swap in another one either Reman or Junkyard.

Something bad happened to my photobucket account (..it was my fault...)and all my pictures went blank. I am committed to editing all my writeups and posts to put the photos back in. Let me know if you find a post that needs revision and I will do that one ASAP Currently I believe I have all the critical ones done.
