automatic transmission

Any body know what the rpm"s should be at 55mph? I am a new jeep owner. It is a inline 6cyl with 85,000 miles. At 55mph they are at about 3000 rpm"s.

With stock size tires, 235/75/15, and stock gearing, 3:55 (I think) I was turning @2800 to 2900 at 70 mph. This is with the non lock up torque converter version. This is assuming my stock tach was accurate, and I think it is.

What happens in my Jeep, stays in my Jeep

i think its around 2k-2200 for stock with 3.55 gears and 225 tires. mine only runs around 2400 or 2500 at 65mph

I don't feel like working on anything, at this time.
