Auto vs manual wiring harness

Is there a difference between the 2 harnesses? If I had a manual and the harness was no good, would I be able to use a harness from the auto and everything still work? Including the check engine light?

The auto has a neutral/ park switch.
And maybe a lockup torque converter wire if equipped.
Pretty easy to work around those though.

not sure about the manual trans upshift light.

Ban computer updates and autoplay video! Boycott music without real instruments and singers using autotune.

The answer is yes. You need to worry about the changes in between the years. The auto/manual is the same. NSS wiring is on both.

Isn't the NSS just a ground anyway?

Yes. On the manual they just loop the ground instead of making a new harness.
