Auto tranny help.

I had my TF999 rebuilt 3 years ago and it shifts and runs great. However, The last three times I have had it on the interstate for more then a few miles it blows fluid out when I slow down. I can drive at 65 for 30 minutes straight with no problems but when I pull off on the exit I am rewarded with a huge nascar like smoke plum. I am running an external cooler so I don't think it is over heating. The fluid is nice and pink and smells good as well. I can clean it up and drive it for several weeks around town without a single drop leaking out. But, I run it at 3 grand for an extended time slow down and huge fluid spray. It is almost like the tranny is building pressure and is not releasing it properly when slowing. I am still running the factory vent BTW. I will admit I should probably check the fluid level. I can't see that it is over filled as it ran fine for three years.
