Auto np-231 fit ax-15?

Will the np-231 out of a 99 TJ fit into a YJ or XJ ax-15? Are the input shafts different lengths or splines?

According to the TJ Stock specifications page, the only one listed as having the smaller output shaft is the AX-5. So my educated guess is that it will work with your AX-15.

Edit: Is it out of a 4cyl auto or a 6cyl auto? 6cyl auto is 23 spline. 4cyl auto is unknown, as its not listed on that page for output shaft size.

NP231 = NV231. New Process Gear changed their name to New Venture Gear. I was looking at the transmission post, where their output shafts were listed as all being 23 spline for the 6 cylinder transmissions.

Bump. What about the np-2321 behind an AW-4 on a cherokee?

*edit* Just saw this

http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge...nput_gears.htm

So the t-case from the aw-4 is only 21 sline short shaft. I need 23 spline short shaft. The only way I can get one is from an ax-15
