AO1's building a bomb!
This is my build thread on my 95 bonestock YJ Sahara. It has the 4.0L 5 speed tranny and I have yet to see what gears are in it. So far I have made Quadratec happy but purchasing all of my parts at one time. This is what I have ordered and Im patiently waiting.

So far I have installed a CD player that I picked up for a hundred bucks. I removed the pinstriping and replaced the stock bumper with an OEM that the PO bought prior to selling.

Personally, i would get yellow top or blue top batteries. The optima red top batteries are a starting battery and don't have a reserve capacity. Using things like a winch on a redtop will fry it pretty fast. Since you are running a winch, offroad lights and a stereo you are going to want a deep cycle with a reserve capacity.... So grab blue tops!
Otherwise have fun! sounds like a fun build!

Attachment 66269
Attachment 66270 Here is the antenna bracket I got. I also ordered the CB combo kit which came with a cheap mount but threw it out. Im a bit shakey with the camera. Attachment 66271 I mounted the CB where the ash tray was being that I don't smoke. I managed to keep the cig lighter just in case I want to fire the spot light up. Attachment 66272 I got the winch mounted (not wired yet) the bolts were replaced with longer grade 8's today so I could put my hooks back. Attachment 66273 here is the sound bar attached. It seems like it is too narrow by an inch or so. There is about a half an inck between the brackets that hold it in place. I don't know if that is right but its up there. I used the stock sound bar wiring so the lights come on when you open the door. and I didn't have to run any new wires. more to come....... Last edited by AO1; 10-16-2009 at 08:17 PM.. |

I took my time and looked around I picked the Jeep up pretty cheap and I have had it for a while. I saved up the cash for a few months. I guess I am lucky in some peoples eyes. I get paid good and Im not married nor do I have kids so I have some room to spend here and there.

I got my part of my lift from UPS tonight, I should have the rest tomorrow. I hope by the end of the weekend that it will be in as well. I still need to measure for the CV shaft. Reguardless I'm pretty stoked!

You'll be very happy with the lift, or you should be. Just a little pointer though, you may have to cut a little off the military wrap on the rear springs to clear the bumper bolts. Even with 1/2 inch lift booms it was still an issue with mine before I cut them.
