anyone running the JB crossover steering?

I was looking around on Pirate and came across this bracket so I was wondering if anyone was running it and what they thought of it. It is similar to the MORE crossover steering setup but uses stock tie rod ends and is cheaper ($200). I'm thinking of trying it out as I dont want to put alot of money into my D30 if I am going bigger in the next year or so but the dropped pitman arm isnt going to cut it with the new SOA setup.

Thanks I'll have to PM him about it. It looks pretty good and the price is right, I'm just wondering if its beefy enough to so to bigger TREs or heims on it.

that i don't know but keep in mind you are still using a dana 30... it's going to break eventually no matter how nice the tre's or heim joints are.... i'd invest as little as possible in such a setup in hope sof saving enough for a dana 44 or better with flat top knuckles

just came across this thread and seen i was mentioned thanks eric (when we going wheelin???)..... i have been running this for about 8 months now..... i have beat the crap outta my front end, everything from deep ruts on the beach, stumps in mud holes (and hitting 2' ledges coming outta said mud holes) many curbs and countless hondas..... hehe but seriously, it is very solid. i am still running my stock size drag link and tie rod, with zero problems. people are gonna say " u get what you paid for" and i got just that, a very durable and dependable hi-steer setup i could afford. i highly reccomend it.

Bump.

Anyone else running this setup? Did you just get the arm or the whole kit? I've decided to stay with the 30 for a bit longer and looking for a steering solution when I go SOA. I need it to hold me over until I get a 44 or 60 up front. Any feedback would be great.

me an scott run the jb4x4 bracket. worked flawlessly. need to lenghen the draglink, which is no biggy. i am making new drag/connecting bars for mine, got the inserts and jamb nuts at the house, need the dom tubing then be good to go!
would HIGHLY recommend the tie rod flip too, helps a lot!

the tie rod flip kit. basically just a reamer and inserts. the inserts go in the bottom of the knuckle, where the tie rod used to be. they are there to make sure the bolt from the tie rod doesnt wallow out the hole. basically they are cone shaped on the outside and straight on the inside. well worth the 76 bucks. cheap insurance me thinks!!
puts the connecting rod @3" higher than before, so a lot less likely to be damaged. takes @1/2hr to install......

I've run my 37's since having this. No problems, no issues. Worth the money.
