anyone replace BA10 with a AX15 ?

I have the Peugeot BA10/5 tranny, and I'm considering replacing it with a AX15. I'm wondering if they would be a straight switch without mods ? I'm thinking I'd also have to change the bell housing, since the trannys are shaped different. I have the internal slave cyl and would also like to install the exterior one while I'm at it. I'd also use the transfer case for the AX15 too. Input ?

It will be direct.. For the most part. You have to ensure you have the .590" pilot tip not the .75. Otherwise you should be mostly good to go. You may run into some problems with the shifter location/linkages. But those are minor.

Check the FAQ linked above that will lay it out much better for you.

- Go to www.naxja.org
- Search for "Let this be THE Peugeot to AX-15 Swap Thread."
- Read it through.
- Get a notebook and pen, and read it through again - this time, taking notes.
- You may now consider yourself edified.
