Anyone know where this goes?

I'll get right to the chase, I noticed a plug hanging in my engine bay and it appears the tab lock for the other side broke off. But I can't figure out where it goes. Does anyone have any ideas?

Me too. Lemme guess. Passenger side low, almost alternator low?
A/C maybe?

I'll be watching this thread.

Chrisnvegas, it is in the middle but yes it is more towards the passenger side. It starts up at the top but it hands rather far down. I have no ac but maybe it is an extra part in the harness if someone did have ac? visually though it appears to have been in use before.

This is my wire. I think it looks just like yours, doesn't it?

It comes out of the alternator loom right by the jack bolted to the fender.

I think Ljamason is right. Although our wires look similar, I think you will find an 1156 light bulb will twist right in yours. I think it is a light socket. It work with some sort of tilt switch. I think mine is for A/C which I don't have. I think...

What you have there is the under hood light socket.
The bulb is what gets put in the socket in your picture. The button at the bottom is the contact for the bottom of the bulb.
Integrated into the assembly is the switch that turn the light on an off. Off when the hood is closed and on when opened.
The switch senses the angle the assembly is at.
Normally the assembly is mounted to the hood near the firewall parallel to the hood with the bulb top facing forward.

The bulb broke off and the base is still stuck in the socket.

That is strange I guess my comment didn't post. But thank you guys this makes perfect sense now. Chrisnvegas your wire is resting where the ac compressor is usually placed so that would make sense. Can anyone confirm what his is for?

Yes - His is the A/C compressor connector.
Not the same as the one in your pic by the firewall.
Your's is the under hood light.
