Anyone have/had a centerforce clutch?

Bought one of there dual friction clutches for my 93 wrangler, wondering if it was a good choice.. Waiting for my new transmission to come in to test it out...

Stock clutch works fine for mine and pretty much everyone elses needs. Why did you get such a powerful clutch?

I have heard good things about the Centerforce clutches... pretty much any of them. My plan to drop in a 4.7L stroker with an NV3550 is beginning now, with which I was going to use a CF clutch. Of course, I'm not looking into the clutch or the tranny until I get the stroker built.

Anyway... what transmission are you putting in?

I have the center force II, no complaints at all. Don't think I need anymore than that. I wheel off road a lot.

I have put the centerforce clutch in almost every manual that I have had, and they have all been great for me! The only stage II that I used was in a pretty extreme rock crawler Jeep, and it NEVER failed on me over many years of abuse, so to answer your question, I would say for sure you made a great choice.

I had a Centerforce clutch in my rig for a couple of years until I changed out transmissions. Worked great for me while I had it, I beat the living hell out of it on a semi-regular basis. Great holding power, great performance.

I have a Centerforce between my 4.2 and NV4500. No complaints at all. I really work my YJ, mostly pushing trailers with a front hitch, or pulling them with the rear. When pushing, I'm ususally trying to put the trailer into a tight spot so I'm in 1st gear with a lot of clutch activity. You'd be amazed how much a YJ can pull. Just yesterday, I had to pull a 25 ft, 5600 lb boat on a double axle trailer. It was on the extremely large size, but taking it easy, the Jeep had no problems at all. I guess as far as the Centerforce goes, that is one item I installed that has worked perfectly since day one, with no problems at all.
