Anyone have 4cyl w/ac

Does anyone have a 4cyl engine that is running ac. I am just wondering how much it bogs down the engine. Also what size tires are you running. This weather is getting pretty hot and I am thinking about A/C but want to know if it is a bad idea wiht a 4cyl running 33's?

Any thoughts
Allan

I have a '93 YJ 4 banger, five speed with A/C, and 235x75x15 tires. The A/C will slow it down some on the street but it doesn't bother me as much as the Georgia heat and humidity.

A/C in a Jeep?!?!?! What in the h#*l have you been smokin' lately? I can't believe you would ask such a question on here? I thought(wrong obviously!) that everyone converts their A/C to OBA, seeing as how a Jeep is a CONVERTIBLE!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> Just messin' w/ ya Allan! I was under the impression that the heat in Arizona is a dry heat and so much more tolerable than humidity!?! Actually, I was in NM this past Aug. on my honeymoon(and sooo wishin' I had my Jeep) and I now know just how damn hot it gets out there! Anyone done a conversion to their A/C compressor to pull double duty as a switchable/ alternate A/C and OBA?
A/C on a Jeep! (LOL) Now that's funny!

Yeah, I agree, A/C in a jeep if kinda funky, but you can only deal with 120 degree weather so long during the summer months...

My Jeep and I live in South Carolina. I bought the jeep to enjoy the ocean breezes and on the sand. I had no idea that jeeps even came with AC! Mine is a 1992 4 cylinder 5 speed manual, soft top, which is off right now!

Love the ocean and my Jeep!
