junk yard, maybe. But the XJ version is different and good luck finding a YJ scrapped.

If you are tempted to spend the $$, get the whole kit for both sides with the mounts. at least you get a full upgrade.

From my XJ to YJ engine swapping experiences this winter, I know that only one side is different between the two. I believe the driver's side is identical, and the passenger's side is almost the same except the holes for the frame mount is in a different location (might be the other way around). The shape of the bracket is the same, so I can't see why you couldn't drill new holes where the YJ needs them to be. Let me know if you need pics to visualize what I'm talking about. I have a pair of XJ 4.0 engine brackets left over if you want them. PM me if you're interested.

Um. Walking home from iles out in the woods sucks when the stock mount bracket breaks, and the new engine block because the mounting bosses on the block broke with the stock bracket is kinda expensive too.

bBrown Dog's stuff is worth every penny... but if you can't swing it, and are willing to live with the limitations of the stock design, get to a junkyard or fab it yourself.

And no, no one else makes the heavy duty block brackets that use all the engine bosses as bolt locations, allowing you to use them even if the stocker broke the bosses on the block as it went.

Brown Dog's warranty is simple: you manage to break it, he gives you another one. He's not too worried... since NO ONE has ever managed to break one.

Can you tell I'm a fan? I have 'em. I love 'em.

The technical advice you get from me here is worth exactly what you paid me for it. Warranty issues will be reimbursed at double what you paid me for the advice.
