Any recommendations on shocks?

Hey guys any recommendations on some good quality shocks? I'm running 5in BDS springs, in 1.25 boomerang shackles, and in 1.25 body lift. I have heard fairly decent comments on bilsteins shocks, Although personally i have not ever used them.

I just picked up some Bilstein 5100's from Kolak on the vendors page. Got a great deal and have heard nothing but good things from the forum about them. Plan on installing them sometime this week.

Bilstein 5100s are great shocks theyre pricey but worth it.

I really needed new rear shocks so I got 2 scratch and dent Skyjacker Hydro 7000s. They were 25 each.

That's a pretty good deal! I picked mine up for less than $75 a piece. So it was still a pretty good deal.

Where is the scratch and dent section? Sounds nice haha

I went with the skyjacker nitros. Haven't drove much but went through some dips and holes and they are pretty nice. I was on stock shocks before though and they stayed in whatever spot I pushed them when I took them off. Beyond worn out.

I ran Bilsein 5150's on my Toyota based buggy & they were by far the best shock I have ever used. I have heard nothing but great things about the 5100's also.

Get your lengths set up (extended and collapsed by cycling the suspension) and call that information in to them. They'll set you up. I went through a dealer represented on this forum: JeepAddOnsChris. Give him a call and he will square you away.
