Another YJ cage is done

We built a YJ cage today - probably have another 2 or 3 in the works also.

I am!!

What bender did you use? Did you use DOM OR HREW and how much of what size did you use?

Is is stronger to have two side bars coming down to the floor from the back hoop then a front top spreader that attaches to them then just having a front hoop and then outside top side spreaders?

The quality of todays HREW is excellent and is my choice for cages. The material is 2" X .120 wall and some 1.25" X .120 wall was used for the dash bar and floor bars between the front and center hoops.
This cage is not complete - the owner opted to just get the front done - I recommend the rear hoop and 4 spreaders for better protection.
The work in the pics used about 40' of tube - with the bottom mounting plates, the total cost of materials was about $70.

We are currently doing another YJ cage that will have max headroom and still fit under the factory soft top (actually we have 3 cages in the works, one has to fit with a hard top)
