Envious.

Are you also going to be applying a protective coating to the underside of your tub since your doing the frame?

Probably just the rustoleum can spray under coating

I had a old Geo tracker that I did with primer then the cheep rubberized undercoating. Held up for two northern Maine winters before I sold it. Maybe you want to consider that route for added protection.

Finally got a second set of hands, So we got the engine off the old frame,
Cut off the engine mount pylons, Swapped the axles , and mocked the engine into the new frame... Mounts are tacked in place...

Here is the reason for the frame swap. You can see all the patches and holes. Not including the rear sections I did 4 years ago!

BTW the rear frame sections and the factory shock mounts are for sale. They are in great condition.

The reason I asked about the welder was I have a lincoln 135 from HD and I wasn't sure if it would be up to the taks of welding on the fram. I have some pieces of scrap steel I set aside both thin 18 and some 1/4 inch stuff to practise on. Its good to know that it will be able to do what I need.

Mounted my Brown dog super brackets.....Finished welding the pylons and gave her a second coat of paint....External and internal...The Eastwood stuff is the nuts..The sprayer hose does a decent job. Even when I was mid frame the mist was coming out the rear...

Picked up more parts.

Durango 136 amp alt and durango steering box. Damn this thing is beefy!

I had picked up a used alternator 136 amp, and it matches the part number for the swap, but this one is internally regulated (top one) so can't use it... Decided new was a better choice considering almost everything else under the hood is or will be..
