94 4.0 auto.......Well replaced my alternator a few weeks ago. the gauge read between 13-14 everything looks normal...but when i turn on the headlights the gauge drops 1-1.5 volts and when i turn on the A/C the gauge drops to 8-9volts....Im hoping its just a bad gauge but how can i tell. they should call wranglers"money pits"...but Im attached to my YJ...Thanx for the Advice in advance...:help::brickwall:brickwall
Well you could check your belts, they might be slipping with the extra load on them. Also it is possible that the alternator is bad from the manufacturer. The best thing to do is run to the local Autozone and let them do the free test on your electrical system. They will diagnose it for free.
..... oh, and for the record. Jeeps are unofficially known as "Money pits".
