All weather cab covers...

I am looking for a cover for my doorless, topless Jeep which will remain outside during the spring and summer months. Obviously I want something that is weatherproof or will at least keep the moisture out of the cab, and something that is easy to put on and remove. My Jeep does have side steps as you can see in the photobucket link below so I would need something that straps over those I guess.

Ideas? Personal experience?

I have the bestop trail cover. I keep my top down most of the summer and that does a pretty good job of keeping the weather out.

Be aware that many car covers in auto stores intentionally breathe and so are not weather tight.

The Smittybilt trail cover is not weatherproof from the factory, more like weather resistant. It does a decent job keeping dew/light rain out of the cab, but moderate/heavy rain will leak in. You have to seal the seams yourself to make it weatherproof. But from my experience it is not all that durable, nor does it fit well without stressing the seams and tearing them. The strap are barely long enough to hook onto factory side steps. It's a cheap cab cover for a reason.

I don't recommend it. When I get the money I'll be replacing it with something better, likely the Bestop one.

I made my own, but mine covers my soft top when its up. The sport bar on my 90 isnt very good for a cover to keep water out. Mine is similar to the tarp looking version above, but mine is made from a high quality multi layer cover originally made for a PT Cruiser. I made the Jeep cover and a cover for my 2009 Yamaha R6 out of that PT cover!
