After market temp gauge

I want to put an aftermarket temp gauge in my Jeep. I bought a universal from Autozone and the sensor doesn't fit into the manifold. It's too big.

Anyone know of a brand of aftermarket temp gauge with a sensor that will fit?

They make brass adapters to make it fit, or put it in a different spot on the block.

The one I bought came with brass adapters. But, the actual sensor is bigger than the hole in the manifold.

Are you saying to drill and tap a hole in a different location on the manifold?

it shouldn't be going into the manifold at all it should be going into the head. so make sure you are trying to put it in the right location.

My autometer sensor fit right into the stock location. or you could use the stock sensor and splice the wires into the new gauge as an alternative.
