advertised lift vs actual lift

what is everyone experience on advertised lift vs the actual lift gained? I just installed 2.5'' OME 36Rs (4), plus MORE 5/8 shackles and got 3.75'' of actual lift

It should settle close to the advertised spec in a day or two. Unless your springs were sagging. the 2.5 is amount of lift compared to new factory springs.

The OME 36R spring that you got (heavy duty spec) net around 3 to 3.5inches of lift, and with your 5/8 booms, the amount of lift that you have sounds about right. As others said, it will settle, but not much more.

Typically (not always) a lift spring will be taller than advertised and will settle once you drive on them. To really get them settled you'll probably need to get them flexed out in the dirt, not simply drive down the street.

With a higher quality spring like OME and BDS you'll likely see higher than advertised and even after they're broke in they'll likely still be a bit more. The flip side of that are springs like RC that will advertise 4" and you may get that for a while then it'll be closer to 2".
