AC into Onboard Air??

I have heard from a couple of you that it is possible to turn your AC compressor into an onboard air compressor. I am interested in doing this because in upstate NY, when it is hot you just take the top and doors off. But anyway, if anyone has any ideas or informatioN(how much $) it would be great. Thanks.

Mike

I have done it. Very easy to do, Cost approx. $150. Do a www.google.com search for on board air. You will find numerous articles. I went to www.off-road.com look under the cherokee section. there is a very good write up with pics. If you want pics of my oba let me know.

Here's a write-up I did:

You don't need the solenoids in your system unless you have ARBs.
