i used 2x4 box for mine dont have any good pics of building it but here it is i made the top plate large enough so it would be easy to mount a winch
tacking it in place before i get out the big welder

fully welded also took the stock tow hooks ground them down flat so i could bolt them on

here its painted and im bolting it on

all done

Ok some updated pictures. Made good progress. Had the top plate drilled and got it welted to the bumper. Also made some light tabs.

Got the winch mounted to see how it looks. Still not sure on the brush guard. I like it but I have a psot with a pole going to see if i keep it or not.

OK i was tinking about this. When I paint the bumpers should i paint them body color or black? I am going to paint the jeep army green in the end.

I was thinking of painting the bumpers with the bedliner stuff then paint army green over that.

OK I am thinking bedliner it then paint over it with a military brown color. I painted it primer tonight and will try to topcoat it tomorrow and let it bake in the sun for a few hours.

Still not sure time to sleep on it I guess.

Front bumper finished

Ok i got it mounted and painted. I know some don't like the brush guard but I kinda do so Ill keep it for a while until I decide to mount the winch full time. I mounted it so it is easily removed.

I admit it is not some of my best work but it will get the job done. Never havign built one before I think it came out good.

I had a bugger of a time lining up all 6 holes. I had 5 of the 6 OK the last one was a pain and requires some creative work around.

Now on to the back bumper.

Thanx to all for t he help. At some point I'll put D rings on it.

I know the light wires have to be rerouted or at least black loom.
Whoops forgot the pictures
