95 YJ currently running front wheel drive only

so i was driving home yesterday and when i was literally less than 200 feet from my house, i felt a few lurches and then next thing i know my transmission is engaged and my engine is revving like crazy. Guessing what had just happened, i quickly cursed the previous owner for the poor air locker installation he had done and then switched into 4wd so that i could finish driving home. i jacked it up to see if my differential was shot but both tires spun opposite directions but the driveshaft was just spinning without any forward power so I'd guess my pinion gear was shot (if anyone reads this and knows better than me, by all means tell me what broke haha)

it rained this morning so once it was dry enough, i was going to take the differential apart to see what i was working with. can anyone recommend what ratio/brand I should replace it with? I've got the stock I6 with the AX-15 on 33" tires. not sure what the factory ratio was but i dont know too much about gear ratios so if someone could suggest a replacement that'd be great

I'll post pictures once I've taken it apart

What rear axle is it?

If its a D35, this may be a good time to sell whatever is still "good" in the D35 & get a different axle.

looking at that picture, the bolt pattern matches the 35 so lets say that's it

what would you guys suggest?
there were six bolts sitting in the bottom of the diff case that look like they were designed to hold the big gear to the axles so those are all broken off in it, you should be able to see an example in one of the pictures
