'95 Wrangler YJ Rear Axle Issues

Gears stripped on my rear axle. New to working on Jeeps...so extremely stupid to these things. I've doen some research and realized that the Dana 35 on there is crap. Should I/can I replace the 35 with another model for a YJ? Also, I was looking to putting a 3" lift on the Jeep anyway, so would that change the rear that I need? Thanks!

You should look for a (much stronger) Ford 8.8 axle. There is a ton of information about it if you search for it. It will not affect the rear springs you need.

That's where I got mine. Just about finished with the install--just need to hook up the brake lines and tighten everything up.
