95 Rio Grande (Build) Taking her all apart

Well I have only been a member here for a short time but I am going crazy my buddy is stripping down my jeep and is swapping my 95 4cyl for a 95 Inl6 the donor vehicle is just what it is all that it has is the frame, partial tub and a supped up engine from the 150 dollar plug wires and distributor to the headers and cherry bomb exhaust the guy who had this jeep before me was fixing the engine up till he just ran out of money and the know how to remove it once he found out that his frame was shot I am also painting my jeep (Color Scheme Light brown basecoat with a dark brown metalic overcoat smeared with seran wrap to give it a marblized look) I will continue to post pics from now till Jan that is the supposed time of completion or should I say this upgrade lol thats my SGM buddy from Ft.Drum driving the Donor!!!!!

Cool thanks for the help my understanding is that the fuel lines and the motor mounts are the only thing I will need to replace on this swap. Motor mounts I dont really have to but its my pefered choice but everything else should go right in and I have all the major donor parts I do have to find a radiator fan shroud that should'nt be to hard

The wiring harness is different of course, as is exhaust, etc. You should be able to swap everything over though since you have a full donor. You'll find a variety of things that weren't quite expected though but if you're down at the MWR auto hobby shop, you'll find help. You can purchase new motor mounts to weld to the frame, just measure their location out from your donor and transfer to the recipient frame and weld them in. You will be replacing the entire drivetrain though, right? 6 cyl with the AX15 and NP231 as a single unit. You should be able to sell your AX5 and the NP231 that came with it.

Having not done a 4 cyl to a 4.0 swap, I am not certain of the specific details of what wiring can be retained, etc. The ECU will be different.

You may find the Cherry bomb to be uncomfortably loud, the rest of the tubing from the 4.0 should be able to swap over unless it is in sorry condition.

Ok my jeep was a Inline 4 I now have a Inline 6 since my jeep was a standard I am guessing I have the 4.10:1 gears and if so, is that good for the Inline 6 and should I be running 35's or 33's what do you think guys...

You should do fine with 33s on your 4.10s. your 4" lift is right for 33s as well.

Fast work on that swap.
