95 2.5 vacuum question

Have 1 of the rare, 2.5 auto tragic setups and I have a vacuum line going down toward the transmission or transfer case that is not can next to anything it loops behind the valve cover and is actually held by 1 of the valve cover bolts. I have a picture of it so hopefully someone will be able to tell me where I need to hook this up to. It looks like there should be another line connected to that since it has an adapter piece on the end but I can't find where it would go to! Any help please?!?!

Looks like a vent/breather line for the transfer case or possibly transmission
