wow, that is one monumental project. Props to you for giving a severely tired YJ new life. I bet you cant wait to back up and look at her when your done and see her gleam like new.

as for the galvanized body rumour, I heard it was just on the 95 model years, not 94 or any year before. I can actually lift my carpet up and see a gray zinc (I think thats what it is, zinc) coating underneath the paint where the paint has worn away from my foot rubbing the tranny tunnel.

I completely understand the situation with working on something despite the frugal criticism. If there would be any words of advice it would be to buy a $2000, 4 cylinder car if money is the concern. Otherwise, you lose money buying a new car by driving it or you put money into an old car by fixing it. Vehicles are money pits. I buy old cars and spend time fixing them because the satisfaction of my skill progression and the gradual completion of a long term project is worth all the time and money I put into it. Keep workin at it.

Hey, thanks alot for the encouragement....

I agree, that all cars are money pits, and you know that slogan, "It's a Jeep thing, You wouldn't understand" THAT IS SOOO TRUE...
Nearly everyone i talk too just doesnt get it...they see what I'm doing, and they look at me like I got ten heads...go figure?

Is that the 1.5" kit or the 3.5". The price difference is only $100 for an additional 2 inches.

its the 1.5...I'm trying to avoid the higher lifts because I lack the funds to do all the other mods such as SYE and Drive shaft, regear...and so on...

Ah, yeah. the thing with the 3.5 kit was that it gave all the angle readjusters and stuff. Also, up to i think like..33 u dont have to regear. TO each his own obviously, i just couldnt bare not to get it for only 100$ more
