Holy Cow! I guess there are some advantages to living in California. It's common to find flat fenders almost 50 years older out here with less than half the rust you've got.

Canada sucks in general for salt, and the atlantic provinces are the worst. We have snow one day, that turns to slush the next. Salted every time it snows. This way you are always slinging liquid corrosion around all the time. My drivers side floor is VERY similar, but I have a floormat I stick there so I don't have to look at it lol. Safty inspection is up in a month, so I will be soon tackeling this project. Tub off, all repairs done, underside por15, inside rhinoliner. I can't wait.... Thanks for updating us with yours!

Update

Spent all day with my toy today...Man!!! I'm beat...

Took out drivers seat...removed seat belts...removed roll bar bolts...one didn't go, so I grinded it off.

took forever just to get the wheel lugs off...had to use my 175 pounds!!!
not to mention the drums holy smoke...

Well i have two more body mount bolts to try tommorow, then remove tub ..hopefully...

thanks for looking...
James

Wow, you're at the same stage that I'm at. Thankfully my floor boards aren't as rusted. I can't get those darn drums off. I'm sprayed the heck out of them, taped them with a hammer and they won't budge.

Never have truer words been spoken. I had a Jeep about 6 years ago and sold it when I got married. Never could stop thinking about it. Just had to get another one. Picked up my 2nd YJ about 2 years ago and will never sell it.

I guess I'm not alone...I had to get another as well...
Once you do the NO top,NO doors thing, that's it...you cant go back!!!

I got the last two body mount bolts out today without breaking them...so I got 7 out, 3 snapped off...not too bad.

Also removed flares and side step, had to cut off all of the bolts!!!

My hat is off to you. Most people have no idea how much work that is. Honestly, even I can only imagine.
