More shots of rust...man, what am I gettin in to???
Any advice for a rookie would be great... I am taking this tub off and completely restoring it, with some sheet metal, por 15 and herculiner ... that way I can get a good look at the frame as well... Thanks for looking !!! James |

wow. despite all the holes in the body...the frame appears to be fairly solid. looks to me like you need some crusher corners, tube fenders in the front, new rockers/gaurds and some POR-15 once you clean and prep the frame.
other than that...nice YJ! ![]() |

Look elsewhere?
Why not look for a Jeep that is more worth your time and money.You may find out that paying more for a jeep in better shape will save you money in the end and also give you a better end result.Just a thought as you clearly have a lot of work that if not done right will just come back later.Good Luck

Actually , this jeep is in great mechanical shape...strong 4.0L and tranny, no leaks...its mostly cosmetic...
i just need a little riveting ,sanding, bondo...she should be good as new when I'm done.... |

for the amount of time it takes to do it all you could probably find a tub in much better condition and just hit it with a sander and do the POR-15 thing.

Jesus, even the windshield brackets on the inside are rusted...
I really do like that color, and the reflection from the hood makes it look even nicer
