94 wrangler host 2.5/93 cherokee donor 2.5 -ecm questions

I have a 94 wrangler which had a blown motor. I put a motor from 93 cherokee in ( both are 2.5) . All went well until I tried to crank it and got nothing. Got new battery and new starter. Still nothing when I turn key on. I do have lights with key but I also don't hear fuel pump. So I started thinking about the harness ecm and there are several things different. I had my husband helping me but he's out of town currently and thought it would be nice to have it running when he got home. I don't want to sound stupid but could these pin outs be the problem?

You are an awesome wife! First they are 2.5L. The ecu's are the same. Unless you swapped the harness it doesn't matter. Real easy to figure out. Does the check engine light come on and go off when you turn the key on? Its important because the light will tell you the ecu is getting correct power.

Sorry about the typo (2.4) my daughter posted for me. Thanks for responding. I was gave the wiring harness and ecu with motor from cherokee, I did not change harness out just motor, trans, new starter, alternator, battery. And someone had knocked ignition out so we replaced that also. When I turned ign on this morning I didn't get check engine light only up shift lights comes on and stays on and seat belt light stays on about 4 sseconds also have headlights, blinkers, brake lights but no back running lights. Nothing else happens when I turn key to start. I am going down this evening to check all grounds. Could you tell me which ones I should have ? I did put other ecu in and check engine light came on without key being on so I removed it and put original back in. I checked fuses they were OK ( I did that day before yesterday).I appreciate any help you can give me to try to remedy this and get this thing running, I really want to get it going to surprise him . I bought this for him after he rolled his cj-7 on thanksgiving. But it has not run yet lol...

You have a power issue. The cel not coming on its easy to diagnose. I will link you a thread to trouble shoot it if you do.

I was just wondering if it could be one of those pin outs on ecu? Just asking because one of the ones that were different was a battery ( I believe no 3..
