93 YJ replacing tcase rear output seal - no oil slinger?

I have a 93 YJ and will be replacing the rear output seal on the NP231 tcase. I still have the stock slip yoke setup. I noticed there is not an oil slinger, and none of the parts houses are showing a rear oil slinger on this transfercase...is this correct?

I just figured the dummy PO just didn't put it back on after a seal replacement.

Thanks for any help clearing this up for me.
