Your backlight bulbs should be 194 wedge bulbs. I particularly like what www.autolumination.com offerse - just be sure to get a wide-angle bulb, and be sure that it is not too "fat" around the edges so it will fit into the clusters.
Also, you must have been searching the wrong words... http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/search.php?searchid=3773268 This should be a good thread for you: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f12/dash-lites-507981/?highlight=led+dash Last edited by AthruC; 01-21-2009 at 11:47 AM.. |

Those second link I posted... click on it and scroll...
To save you the effort of using your fingers: The first link was to a search, which apparently you can't do. Try "LED dash" "dash backlight" "cluster backlight" ... etc. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f12/replacing-guage-lights-leds-643977/index2.html?highlight=led+dash ![]() HOW TO: replace your backlights: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f12/instrument-light-replacement-write-up-625886/?highlight=gauge+face Different color w/ tinted 194 bulb: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f12/damn-those-white-gauge-overlays-329747/?highlight=gauge+face ![]() |

7 194 bulbs for dash gauges ($2.79 ea.) and 1 P74 bulb ($3.49) for rear wiper switch area came to $28.02 shipped. I still need to order some more. Forgot about the lights behind the vent/heat controls. ![]() I'm really happy with how it came out. Looks great. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to see the red very well on the black gauges. No problem! BTW...I went with the red LEDs. Trust me, the pictures don't do them justice. They are nice and bright, but yet, they don't impede your night vision.

I do know that the size for the bulbs in the gauges (at least for a 95 YJ) are 194. The smaller bulbs are P74. I'll post the size for the vent/heat as soon as I can, just incase you haven't had a chance to look yet. I've also been trying to figure out whether or not the factory headlight switch has its own internal illumination. If so, mine is out. I'm always hunting for the headlights. Going to have to figure something out for that as well.

) The R6 bulbs I got are not polar specific. So, they'll work either way you insert them into the base. Just twist them back into the instrument panel and you're done. That's it!

Maybe 30-45 minutes. It takes longer to get the shroud and instrument clusters out than it does to replace the bulbs. Just a matter of a few Phillips screws.

Just read another thread pertaining to this subject. Read that there is only one bulb within the climate control module.
