93 yj brake light issue

So when I apply the brakes without my headlights on the brake lights function as they should, and illuminate. When the headlights or parking lights are on the driver side brake light does not illuminate or illuminates very dimly, would anyone know a possible problem or common issue here, and how I should go about fixing the problem?

Sounds like the drivers side brake light has lost it's ground connection.
The screws that secure the light to the body make the ground connection. If it gets rusty you can lose the ground connection.

I agree. Bad ground. It's very common on these bad boys. Pull it off it should be evident as to what's wrong. Mine was all rusted up inside

Sent from my phone because I'm doing something "more important"

89 YJ.. My first jeep and I won't let it go. ▀||||▀

Current Project: None... I disgust myself.
